The Edgewater VoIP solution is made up of the EdgeMarc Network Services Gateways, EdgeView VoIP Support System, EdgeConnect managed Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches and EdgeView Reports server products.

EdgeConnect

The EdgeConnect 800PoE (Power over Ethernet) and 2402LFPoE are flexible, easy-to-use, managed Power over Ethernet switches that are ideal for converged voice, video and data applications.

EdgeConnect 800PoE EdgeConnect 800PoE Switch - The EdgeConnect 800PoE incorporates all of the features needed for today’s converged networking environment by simplifying installation, improving QoS for voice and video over IP while offering a central management interface for ease of administration.

EdgeConnect 2402LFPoE Switch - The EdgeConnect 2402LFPoE incorporates all of the features needed for today’s converged networking environment including prioritization using 802.1Q VLANs, 24 x 10/100 Mbps auto-sensing Ethernet ports, 2 x 10/100/1000 Mbps uplink or high speed server ports, and up to 8.8 Gbps aggregated throughput with full wire speed forwarding.

EdgeMarc Product Family

200 Series 200 Series - The EdgeMarc 200 Series merges several voice and data features into a single, simple to use network services gateway. It consists of models that combine a router with an ethernet wide area network (WAN) or ADSL uplink, ethernet LAN switch, integrated access device (IAD) analog ports, PSTN gateway, call quality probe and optional 802.11 wireless access point for data. Intended for Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) settings it supports up to 10 concurrent WAN VoIP calls.

4500 Series 4500 Series - The EdgeMarc 4500 Series merges several voice and data features into a single, simple to use network services gateway. It consists of models that have up to 4 T1 WAN interfaces or a single ethernet WAN, a 4 port managed VLAN switch, call quality probe optional 802.11 Wireless Access Point and optional integrated analog phone and line ports. Intended for SOHO and small to medium enterprise deployment the 4500 Series contains models that support 2, 5, 10 or 30 concurrent WAN VoIP calls.

5300 Series 5300 Series - Perfect for medium to large enterprise locations the 5300 Converged Network Appliance includes 2 x 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces, a 1 x 10/100 Mbps Ethernet out of band management interface and support for up to 300 concurrent WAN VoIP calls.

6400 Series 6400 Series - Intended for demanding situations the 6400 Network Services Gateway offers 2 x 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet interfaces and dual redundant, hot swap AC or DC power supplies and support for up to 1000 concurrent WAN VoIP calls.


EdgeView VoIP Support System

Combined with EdgeMarc Network Services Gateways and EdgeConnect PoE switches, the EdgeView VoIP Support System allows service providers and enterprises to provide the finest possible support at the most cost effective means. Several operators have seen a noticeable improvement in installation/configuration time, call resolution as well as a decrease in hard operational costs.

EdgeView Reports Server

EdgeView Reports is a sophisticated yet easy-to-use reporting tool that offers valuable VoIP performance information to network planners, operators, product managers, executive management teams and end-users.

The EdgeView Reports server works in combination with the EdgeView VoIP support System and EdgeMarc routers to afford unparalleled visibility into the performance of today’s converged networks.

Key features include:

  • Comprehensive report library for average mean opinion score, below quality VoIP minutes, below quality threshold alerts and more
  • On-demand and scheduled reports
  • Dashboard views provide critical real-time performance statistics

Both the EdgeView VoIP Support System and the optional EdgeView Reports Server are delivered in an appliance form factor and typically installed in the operations center. Console access is provided through a browser-based GUI. The systems support multiple, authenticated user accounts with administrator defined access privileges. They can be used as a stand-alone management system or as a complement to other network management systems.
